Energy efficiency

The need for energy efficiency has never been as critical as the need now. Our dependence on fossil fuels as an energy source has had a devastating effect on our environment. The release of carbon dioxides into our atmosphere far surpasses the levels that our planet can process through natural means. For this reason energy efficiency is always a main topic of discussion in summits all across the developed world. Many new laws and legislation for example the Kyoto Treaty have been introduced to combat our ever-increasing use of fossil fuels and also to improve energy efficiency in our everyday lives.

Alternative means for energy production, for example wind, water and geothermal to name a few, are being introduced to relieve the pressure of our depleting natural reserves. This is a step in the right direction, however the wastage of energy has to also be addressed and with energy efficiency awareness it is.

In a world of rising electricity costs and fuel bills, driven by soaring oil prices, it’s little wonder that companies all over the world are looking to reduce consumption by reducing waste.

At Thermal Consultancy we are committed to reducing energy consumption by improving energy efficiency. An Energy Audit carried out by us complete with an infrared energy report, will identify and highlight opportunities for efficiency improvements. This will enable us to show quantifiably the amount of energy lost and the cost implications.

The Climate Group, a UK based environmental organisation cites examples such as Intel and Deutsche Telecom each saved $10 million a year through their energy conservation programs. 3M since 1973 have saved $200 million through energy efficiency improvements.
